16. Hewan yang mengalami keracunan kronis dengan formalin yang diberikan melalui injeksi intraperitoneal mengembangkan peritonitis fibrinosa, terkait dengan eosinofilia yang nyata. Perubahan pada ginjal dan hati terdiri dari pembengkakan keruh, degenerasi lemak, nekrosis fokal dan infiltrasi leukosit.
